Company Description

The Minnesota Grown Program is a statewide partnership between the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and Minnesota producers of specialty crops and livestock. It was created nearly 30 years ago by specialty crop growers to differentiate their produce from produce grown thousands of miles away. Minnesota Grown has been working with schools and other partners in recent years to strengthen how we can support local food connections through Farm to School programs. We have posters available and are working to create new resources through a Harvest of the Month program. Schools are encouraged to check out our Wholesale Directory to find farmers in their area that may be sources for great Minnesota Grown food to serve in their meal programs.
