Dawn Soto is a Senior Food Service Training Specialist with the Los Angeles Unified School District and has been an active team member for 24 years. Prior to her present position, Dawn has been a trainer and manager for several nationally recognized restaurants and applies those concepts to cafe operations. Dawn develops and oversees training curriculum for over 3500+ District Food Service employees, students, and parents on all subjects pertaining to school food programs, operations, nutrition education and professional development that align with Professional Standards requirements. Dawn lives by the motto; "Train hard, work easy. Train easy, and you will work hard."

Cecilia Milner - Los Angeles Unified School District
Speaker Bio:

Cecilia Milner is a Food Services Training Specialist for the Los Angeles Unified School District. She works closely with school-based Food Service Managers, staff, and students to reinforce State and Federal guidelines. Before becoming a Training Specialist, Cecilia's background includes over five years' experience in the school cafeteria environment. She prides herself on her ability to bring a positive and engaging experience to each training. She contributes the effectiveness of her training to the combination of a visual, interactive, and high energy approach.

Mervin Kiedpool - Los Angeles Unified School District
Speaker Bio:

Mervin Kiedpool is a Food Services Training Specialist for the Los Angeles Unified School District and works closely with food service staff. Prior to joining LAUSD, Mervin was a food safety specialist, teaching and training food safety and brand standards practices for many of the largest hospitality groups in the nation. His passion to teach is shown in his presentations, which consist of visually appealing animations to inform, engage and explain to the audience the reasons "why".
