Description:Employees suffering from the loss of a loved one cost US companies over $37 billion a year. Child Nutrition programs face the same hidden costs. As a co-worker and friend, do you struggle to find the right words to express sympathy to the grieving party? How can you help? As a supervisor are you challenged to convey empathy yet minimize disruptions and maintain productivity in your program? As an individual suffering from the loss of a loved one, are you aware of the impact your grief may have on your fellow co-workers and program? Let's discuss the answers to these questions and solutions to how we can help those suffering from grief while continuing to maintain a high quality program and serve our students.
