Description:An all inclusive look at assessing your cycle menus during a pandemic. Plenty of take away ideas on meal service as well as utilizing USDA donated food items to maximize flexibility in your cycle menu without creating menu fatigue.
Hannah Gelhar, RD, LD - ProTeam Foodservice Advisors
Speaker Bio:Hannah Gelhar RD, LD is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco Medical Center Dietetic Internship program. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition & Dietetics with a minor in Psychology from Concordia College. While earning her nutrition degree, Hannah competed for four years on the collegiate cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
Hannah previously worked as a Food and Nutrition Director for Pine City Public Schools in Minnesota. She also coached Pine City's junior high track and field team, served as a board member for the School Nutrition Directors of Minnesota and volunteered on nutrition conference planning committees.
Hannah currently provides menu planning and social media outreach and loves to partner with districts to create innovative and compliant menus.
Janelle Peterson, M.Ed, SNS - ProTeam Foodservice Advisors
Speaker Bio:Janelle Peterson has been providing training in the child nutrition arena for 20+ years. She uses humor and stories to share her leadership journey, as well as staff development, and love of all things related to foodservice.
Having spent over 30+ years in foodservice operations that include school nutrition, hospitals, and long-term care, Janelle quickly understands the challenges and is excited to problem solve usable solutions. Spending a few years on the administrative side as a state agency program specialist, Janelle is also uniquely qualified to help participants understand the rules and regulations as they pertain to their programs.
Janelle is a personal development junkie and is always on the prowl for new books to read. She and her dog Watson live in the forest. To be more accurate, her home is adjacent to Black Hills National Forest ground in South Dakota. Photography, gardening, and spending time with her 6 grandchildren is also high on her list of things she loves to do.
